Fine Cooking Magazine Aid Station Preview for Farm to Fork Fondo
Fine Cooking Magazine has crafted a gourmet menu for each of the Colavita | Fine Cooking - Farm to Fork Fondo aid stations hosted by working Orange County farms with a highlighted ingredient from the farm.
The aid stations also feature ingredients from Colavita, Sun-Maid and Chobani, ride fuel from GU Energy Labs and Raw Revolution, and catering by Cedar Lakes Estate.
AID STATION #1 - PIERSON'S FARM
Featured ingredient: Farm stand honey and fruit preserves
Polenta Pound Cake with honey and fruit preserves from Pierson's farm stand and Colavita polenta catered by Cedar Lakes Estate
AID STATION #2 - KEITH'S FARM
Featured ingredient: World-famous garlic
Pita chips with Garlic Yogurt Sauce made from Chobani yogurt and Keith's green garlic and catered by Cedar Lakes Estate
AID STATION #3 - SOONS ORCHARD
Featured ingredient: New York apples
Apple Turnovers made by Scotty's Country Kitchen at Soons Orchard with apples from the farm and Sun-Maid raisins. The stop will also feature Soons' apples and apple cider.
AID STATION #4 - ROGOWSKI FARM
Featured ingredient: Black Dirt tomatoes
Mini Caprese Salads made with Rogowski Farm tomatoes, Colavita olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and catered by Cedar Lakes Estate
AID STATION #5 - BELLVALE FARMS CREAMERY
