Jon Izaguirre wins a difficult stage 20 as Chris Froome secures third Tour de France win

Spaniard Jon Izaguirre (Movistar) won a rain-soaked final stage in the Alps, as Team Sky celebrate Chris Froome's 3rd Tour de France win

He attacked Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) and Jarlinson Pantano (IAM Cycling) on the treacherous rain soaked descent after the trio had formed as a group just before the summit of the climb.

Chris Froome and his Team Sky teammates, took the descent more carefully and crossed the line over four minutes later to celebrate with his Team Sky teammates before heaing into paris in the Yellow Jersey. Roman Bardet finishes 2nd overall in front of Nairo Quintana in 3rd on General Classification.

Froome is just one processional stage from Paris away from winning his third Tour de France title, this is normally a formality for the overall GC riders, with just the final sprint to be thrashed out.

Adam Yates (Orica-BikeExchange) also finished in the GC group, meanwhile, ensuring he will wear the White Jersey of best young rider into Paris.

Rafal Majka (Tinkoff) will be wearing the King of the Mountains Polka Dot Jersey and Peter Sagan the Sprinters Green Jersey.

Tomorrow's final processional stage will finale a fast and furious sprint on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
