2017 Dauphiné will leave Saint-Etienne
Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) announced that the Grand Départ of the next Critérium du Dauphiné which begins June 4, 2017 will leave Saint-Etienne.
An opportunity to celebrate 70 years of the event which will begin with a road stage 170 km long.
The Dauphine is the last stage race before the Tour de France and is considered a warm up and an indication of form ahead of the Tour.
As with every year, the Critérium du Dauphiné will present himself as the ultimate appointment before Tour. While some prefer the Tour of Switzerland, the winner of the Tour de France has, in recent years, come out of the Dauphiné more or less successful.
This year, it was Chris Froome who won ahead of Romain Bardet. The Scenario was repeated a month and a half later on the Champs Elysees.
