Caleb Ewan wins final sprint to take 4 out of 6 stages

Ewan out sprinted Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) and Marko Kump (Team UAE Abu Dhabi) on the final sprint out in Adelaide today.

Safely crossing the line in the Peloton, Australian Richie Porte celebrated winning the 2017 Santos Tour Down under.

Porte took time off after a crash in Rio last year to recover and have a mental and physical break before returning to training. He's showed that he's in the form of his life looking incredibly ripped both on and off the bike.

The BMC leader dominated on the climbs at Paracombe and Willunga, while Ewan closed out all four of the flat sprint stages.

Estaben Chaves has shown his form is on track with a credible second place on over classification.

Jay McCarthy (Bora-Hansgrohe) took a mid stage sprint bonus to push him ahead of Nathan Haas (Dimension Data) and third on GC.

Ewan out sprinted everyone after another strong Orica-Scott leadout and simply out-classed his rivals including Peter Sagan.

Sagan doesn't seem to concerned at this stage on the season as he's clearly focussing on much bigger goals later on in the season. Sagan led out teammate McCarthy out for an intermediate sprint. The time bonus enough to help McCarthy jump into third overall on GC.

In the KOM overall, Thomas De Gendt took glory, with Adam Hansen delivering him to the line to take the crucial KOM points mid way through the stage.
