Introducing a new GranFondo/Road Rally with Pro Tour Rider, Peter Stetina

Sunday September 24, Stetina’s Sierra Prospect, will embrace a western theme and a new way to ride Lake Tahoe

The event is a collaboration with the creators of Levi’s GranFondo (Bike Monkey) and in partnership with Peter Stetina. Peter, a part time Tahoe resident, has hand selected a course from his favorite training ground. Riders will get a bit of everything, from the edge of Lake Tahoe to the desert and back. The finish and festivities will be at the upscale Northstar Resort.

The new road rally format was designed to help create balance and provide variety as compared to a typical Gran Fondo. Chasing segments rather than overall time will allow riders to open the throttle and compete for prizes and bragging rights, but also have the opportunity to regroup with friends, stop at rest stops, chat with pro-riders, and take in the overall experience.

The ride will benefit the High Fives Foundation, out of Truckee.

A pre-ride, and tour of the High Fives facility will be available the Saturday before the ride, along YOGA, and a VIP dinner.

Folks arriving on Friday are invited to join Peter at Revision Brewing Company for a limited release IPA bearing his name.

Pre-season rates are available until the end of May. Riders who sign up for both Levi’s GranFondo and Stetina’s Sierra Prospect will receive a special commemorative jersey.

A fully supported week long tour with Peter and including both events (Stetina’s Sierra Prospect and Levi's GranFondo) that treks from the Sierra to Santa Rosa is also available. Inquire here: KRA@bikmonkey.net
