Chris Froome Denies Rumours of Split with Team Sky
Rumours have been circulating that Froome was looking to leave Team Sky for BMC Racing next season
Rumours have been rife that Froome wants to leave Team Sky after all the doping accusations associated with Team Sky and Britsh Cycling.
The accusations include Bradley Wiggins "Jiffy Gate", the use of needles by Sky riders and a whole host of accusations related with their association with British Cycling who are currently in turmoil.
In an effort to repair their damaged reputtaion, British Cycling have decided to "divorce" team Sky and recently asked them to find other premises than those at British Cycling's headquaters.
BMC are furious at the rumours that have been circulating with BMC Racing General Manager Jim Ochowicz telling the press "I wouldn’t even classify it as a rumour. It’s a complete lie that Chris Froome and BMC Racing are negotiating for 2018!"
According to an article in today’s French sports daily L’Equipe, is sick of the problems Team Sky had with Bradley Wiggins, Jiffy Bags, TUEs and Dave Brailsford. Froome was recently rumoured to have refused to support Dave Brailsford.
He reportedly was discussing a €5 million (£4.34m) annual contract with BMC Racing.
