PRUride Phillipines to attract over 5,000 cyclists across Southeast Asia

National cycling teams and other top riders across Southeast Asia will converge in the country next year for the PRUride PH, touted to be one of the biggest cycling events of 2018 including a Gran Fondo

The Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Zambales will be the site of the Jan. 11 to 14 leg while McKinley West in Taguig will host the Jan. 21 event.

“More than a gathering of the country’s most passionate cyclists, PRUride PH 2018 is committed to promote responsible and safe cycling,” said Pru Life UK’s Allan Tumbaga during the recent media launch at The Brewery in Taguig.

Southeast Asian Games champion Marella Salamat will lead some 5,000 riders taking part in 36 events, including Professional Individual Time Trial, Amateur Time Trial, 100-kilometer Gran Fondo and criterium races.

About the PRUride

The PRUride Gran Fondo 2018 will start at Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center and will follow a 100-kilometer route similar to the race route to the one taken by the professional cyclists. This will take the Gran Fondo participants out of Subic Bay Freeport Zone into the picturesque roads of Bataan province, before returning to Subic Bay Freeport Zone for the finish.

As part of our commitment to offer riding for all. We offer the Gran Fondo 50 for beginning cyclists.

The PRUride Gran Fondo 50 will start at Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center and will follow a 50-kilometer route taken by the Gran Fondo 100, but with an earlier U Turn.

This will also take the Gran Fondo 50 participants out of Subic Bay Freeport Zone into the picturesque roads of Bataan province, before returning to Subic Bay Freeport Zone for the finish.
