UCI World Champion Peter Sagan to race Eschborn-Frankfurt

It will be the first ever time for the BORA – hansgrohe captain, racing the “Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt”.

The demanding 220km course, with a finishing circuit in Frankfurt, should suit the UCI World Champion. 

After Paris-Roubaix, Sagan took a three-week vacation. Eschborn-Frankfurt will be the start to his second part of the season, which leads him after Frankfurt with Amgen Tour of California and Tour de Suisse, to the Tour de France in Düsseldorf. His goal there will be to remain his astonishing series of five consecutive wins of the Green Jersey.

As a German WorldTeam, the first race of the year in our home country is very important for our sponsors, for the fans, for ourselves. To have the UCI World Champion in a German team, means of course, that the fans in Germany want to see him race here in Germany. Obviously best would be to take the win.
