Richie Porte and Adam Yates drop Chris Froome on Stage 4 at Romandie
Simon Yates wins stage 4 in Leysin ahead of Porte to take the race lead
At 164 kilometres, the Queen Stage in the Tour de Romandie took in four climbs.
Simon Yates went on the attack on the penultimate climb and Richie Porte followed.
Chris Froome was unable to respond and was dropped by the duo.
Yates out sprinted Porte in the closing metres.
Adam Yates is the new leader as Felline finished almost 1 minute in arrears.
Chris Froome finished 1m 15 s down on Yates and now sits in 33rd place overall over 1m and 36 seconds down, with no hope of making up the time.
The Tour de Romandie finishes with a hilly 17.9 km individual time trial in Lausanne tomorrow.It is still possible for the top GC riders open/close any gaps for the final podium places.
