George Bennett time trials into yellow at Big Bear lake
Lotto Jumbo's Bennett takes time back from Rafal Majka to take the race into the final stage. Team Sky's Jon Dibben wins the time trial stage
The individual time trial at Big Bear Lake always threatened to shake up the General Classification and today it did just that.
Jon Dibben set the fastest time along the shores of Big Bear Lake, over 6,000 feet in altitude.
But as the favorites left the starting gate, the overall standing started to change.
The first casualty was Lachlan Morton losing over a minute.
BMC Racing's Brent Bookwalter put in a great effort setting the second fastest time, only 7 seconds behind Dibben.
Cannondale-Drapac's Mount Baldy winner Andrew Talansky was next to arrive just 9 seconds down on Bookwalter.
But it was previous race jersey wearer Rafal Majka who finished down, handing the jersey over to Bennett, who now leads the race 35 seconds ahead of Majka and 36s ahead of Talansky.
Tomorrow's final stage could see a battle for the intermediate sprint points as there is only 45 seconds between the top four riders in the general classification.
