Rob Britton takes over Yellow Jersey after Impressive Time Trial
Rally's Rob Britton won the 5.6 mile individual time trial and has taken the Yellow Jersey on stage 3 of the Tour of Utah
Rob Britton of Rally Cycling is the new leader of the Tour of Utah after an impressive performance in the stage 3 time trial.
Riders faced more climbing on Wednesday with a 5.6 mile) time trial from Big Cottonwood Canyon to Brighton with an elevation of about 1500 feet.
BMC's Joey Rosskopf set an early best time of 18 minutes and 42 seconds. Serghei Tvetcov of Jelly Belly beat Rosskopf's time by 13 seconds.
Canadian Robert Britton began the time trial in seventh place in the overall classification and beat Tvetcov's time by 12 seconds to put himself in the hot seat.
Top three on GC didn't fare well with James Piccoli 1m 10s down, Bookwalter 46 seconds down and and race leader Sepp Kuss down 1m 3 secs on his Rally teammate. Al, three have dropped off the top five on GC
Rob Britton's impressive performance put him into the overall lead and the Yellow Jersey.
