Prison for Aqua Blue Bus Burner
Pyromaniac who burned down the Aqua Blue Sport bus in the Vuelta has 52 previous arrests
A court in the city of Almería, Spain has ordered the imprisonment of a 55 year old man arrested for allegedly causing four fires in the city, including Aqua Blue Sport cycling teams' bus, who are participating in the Vuelta a Espana in Spain
Sources close to the High Court of Justice of Andalusia have informed that the man testified before a judge last Saturday after being arrested on Thursday last week, after which she ordered him to be imprisoned for arson.
Spanish national police confirmed the man had 51 previous arrests for crimes of robbery with force, robbery with violence and fire, and that last month was arrested for the burning a large shpping container.
About 01:30 last Thursday morning police were informed of a large the vehicle burning "intensely" from the rear. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire and pointed out to the police that it had been set on fire deliberately.
On the same night several more calls alerted police of three other fires started on the streets of Almería. The perpertrator used an accelerating substance and started two fires on shpping containers and set fire to a porta cabin next door where the electrical panels were located.
The police search the city aimed at locating and detaining the perpetrator and at about 4:15 a patrol located the suispect who was preparing to burn another shipping container.
He tried to flee but was detained by police.
At the time of his arrest, he was carrying three lighters, a paper soaked in solvent and one litre of fuel ...
