2018 Etape Du Tour sells out in advance to 15,000 cyclists
Over 10,000 registered on the first day for the 2018 L’Etape du Tour from Annecy to Le Grand Bornand next July. Event now SOLD OUT.
The route of the Etape du Tour will allow 15,000 amateur cyclists to ride stage 10 of the 2018 Tour de France, from Annecy to Le Grand-Bornand in the Alps on July 8th
The stage is 169 kms long and features over 4,000 metres of climbing including nearly 2 kms of gravel atop the Plateau des Glières, a 7 km climb at an average of 11%.
The stage also features the climbs of the Col de Romme (8,8 km at 8,9%) and the Col de la Colombière (7,5 km à 8,5%).
The 28th edition of L’Etape takes place on July 8th, just nine days before the Pro Peloton tackle the same stage on July 17th, after the full 2018 Tour de France route was revealed recently.
Registration opened October 23rd, with event-only entry costing around $130 (€109 or £97).
Other packages were available that include accommodation, in addition to entry.
