$36,000 USD in Cash Prizes for Winners of the 2018 Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series
Equal prize money for Men and Women, the expanding series offers some of the biggest cash prizes for non-professional cyclists!
Andorra, January 29th 2018 – Due to its growing success and popularity, Grandvlaira SAETDE acquired a major shareholding in the Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series.
The Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series is now able to offer Gran Fondo competitors a total prize purse of $36,000 USD, which is one of the biggest cash prizes available to amateur cyclists.
The first three of each gender in the final rankings will receive $10,000, $4,000, $2,000 USD respectively.
An extra $4,000 USD in Bike Prizes from Canyon Bikes goes to the winner of the new Gran Fondo World Championship ® Ladies Edition, part of the Styrkeproven Peugeot Grand Prix in Norway.
This year the series has expanded to 11 events globally, giving male and female cyclists around the world the opportunity to compete for the overall rankings and prizes.
The over men’s and women’s winners will also earn their right to wear the Men’s Gran Fondo World Champion® Yellow Jersey and the Women’s Gran Fondo World Champion® Pink Jersey.

The series ranking is open to amateur cyclists of all levels. It is necessary to complete at least one event to be considered in the final ranking. All participants and finishers in at least one event will be ranked, but minimum of three completed events is required to be included in the final overall series awards.
The best three results will be taken in to account, including the best of any multi-day challenge or a one day challenge.

The world's Premier Gran Fondo and Amateur Endurance global cycling site, Gran Fondo Guide, has been selected as the 2018 Gran Fondo World Tour ® official media partner worldwide.
Together they have a combined subscriber base of over 45,000 cyclists, promoting and marketing some of the best Gran Fondo amateur cycling events globally.
