Rohan Dennis moves into race lead after individual time trial
Four BMC riders in top 10 on GC before final Mountain stage the finishes atop Green Mountain on Sunday
BMC Racing's Rohan Dennis was fastest on the flat 12.6 km time trial around Al Maryah in Saturday. American Brent Bookwalter was only 17 seconds behind and moved into sixth place. Teammates Miles Scotson as 3rd fastest and Patrick Bevin was 8th fatest, resulting in BMC Racing fielding four riders in the top ten in overall GC coming into the final stage.
Sunday's stage is the Queen stage, 199 kms long from Al Ain to Jebel Hafeet it culminates in the climb of Green Mountain Road that goes on for 10.8 kilometers at 6.6%.
The first 4 kms are undulating, with gradients of around 8-9% for the next 4 kms with a peak of 11% at 2.8 kilometres before the top. In the last 2.3 kilometres the climb flattens out and a minor descent ushers in the final ramp that leads straight to the finish line.
