Over 1,000 cyclists take part in Saddleback Gran Fondo
1,000 participants of four distances reached the finish line, they have completed 15, 35, 50 or 100 miles reaching funds for Cancer research
Over 1,000 cyclists took part in Califnornia's Saddleback Spring Classic Gran Fondo by Renegade Racing last weekend 'Pedaling to cure pediatric cancer', with a portion of each participant’s registration going to the cause.
The event was round one of the North American Gran Fondo World Tour Series.

On the 50-mile Gran Fondo course, participants enjoyed a trip through Santiago Canyon as the 100-miler but made a turn onto the old 1984 Olympic Bike Course and travelled around Mission Viejo before heading back to the finish.

The event wasn't competitive, so those taking part all received 1,000 Gran Fondo World Tour series points.
Round 2 of the Gran Fondo World Series moves onto the Bluewater Interntional Gran Fondo in Sarnia, Ontario on August 5th.
Round 3 of the series the the competitive Rollfast Gran Fondo, in Carmel, Indiana on September 16th,
