Lousie Jungnickel confirms participation at BlueWater for bid at the final GFWT® series Podium
German cyclist Louise Jungnickel, winner in Styrkeproven Peugeot Grand Prix has confirmed her participation in Canadian round of North American Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series next weekend, the Blue Water International Gran Fondo in Sarnia, Aug 4th
She is ready to battle hard in her bid to reach the top podium step, to be confirmed in the final round at the Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic, South Africa in October.
For the men, Norwegian cyclist Jona Orset retains the "Yellow Jersey". However after first event in North American round March at the Saddleback Spring Classic Gran Fondo in Irvine, 300 cycists took 1,000 GFWT points as a non competitive event.
This opens up the opportunity for these North American cyclists to easily gain another 1,000 GFWT at Bluewater International Gran Fondo as another non competitive event.
It's the final North American round the Rollfast Gran Fondo in Carmel, Indiana (September 16) where the fastest rider will collect a maximum 1,1000 points on offer. This gives North American cyclists the chance to collect 3,100 points and become leaders of the series.
At the end of the series $10,000 USD, $5,000 and $2,000 USD in CASH prizes are awarded to the top three women and men in the series.
