Travis McCabe wins his second stage sprint at the Tour of Utah

McCabe outguns Jasper Philipsen (Hagens Berman Axeon) with Edwin Avila (Israel Cycling Academy) third. Sepp Kuss retains race lead

Travis McCabe (UnitedHealthCare Pro Cycling) took victory on the third stage of the Tour of Utah, his second win in the America's toughest stage race.

The 188 kilometre long stage 3 between Antelope Island and Layton featured a third category climb and a flat finish for the sprinters.

The peloton didn't allow a breakaway to go until 100 kilometres to go, where ten riders got away.

The breakaway included Tony Baca, Lucas Hamilton, Jonny Clarke and Rob Britton, and they created a gap of more than one minute, while the peloton was paced by LottoNL-Jumbo on behalf of Yellow Jersey wearer Sepp Kuss.

The breakaway aws caught with eight kilometres as the sprinters prepared for the finale.

UnitedHealthCare's Travis McCabe out-sprinted Jasper Philipsen (Hagens Berman Axeon) and Edwin Avila (Israel Cycling Academy)  while Sepp Kuss retained the overall race lead.

Stage 4 returns to Downtown Salt Lake City where riders will tackle 10 laps of a hilly 6.8-mile downtown course.
