Matej Mohoric holds onto lead as Bora's Muhlberger wins penultimate stage

Muhlberger soloed away from a group of four riders after Tim Wellens kick-started the winning move with just 10kms remaining

Tim Wellens kick started the the winning move when attacked from an elite group of seven riders with just 10 kms remaining, a gorup that included Greg Van Avermaet and Michael Matthews.

Five kilometres later Stybar decided to bridge across to Wellens with Muhlberger and Dylan van Baarle (Team Sky) not far behind.

Behind Mohoric dug deep to chase the four leaders down, after shutting down a lot of earlier attacks to minimise the time gap.

In the final kilometre Muhlberger launched a blistering attack,  his three breakaway companions hestitating, giving him a gap to solo to line.

Behind, Tim Wellens (Lotto Soudal)crossed the line in second with Zdenek Stybar (Quick-Step Floors) third.

Behind, Matej Mohoric (Bahrain-Merida) did enought yo hold onto his overall race lead with the final stage remaining.

He leads Michael Matthews in second (Team Sunweb) by 30 seconds with Taco van der Hoorn (Roompot-Nederlanse Loterij) in third at 32 seconds.

The final stage 7, is a 209km jaunt from Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure to Geraardsbergen to to a finish halfway up the Wall of Geraardsbergen.

Riders face nineteen hills, including the infamous Wall three times from bottom to top.

Expect plenty of actions as Mohoric rivals go on the attack, it is sure to be an amazing finale to this year's race.
