North America celebrates the 6th edition of the the world's fastest Gran Fondo
46 riders were awarded Sub4 finisher belt buckles during the Rollfast Gran Fondo in Carmel Indiana on Sunday September 16, part of the Gran Fondo World Tour Series

The fastest Gran Fondo of the world was celebrated it's 6th edition on Sunday September 16 2018, the top 10 finishers completed the 100 mile race in less that 3 hours 50 minutes, Matt Salpietro from Indianapolis finished first in a time of 3h 47m 7s, averaging over 40 km/h for the 100 miles men's category.

He was followed by Will Coleman with a time of 3h 47m 19s and Andrej Banaszkievic in a time of 3h 47m 21s on a crazy last 50 miles where a breaway broke the peloton.
In the women's category, the 1st place went to Karen Gauthier with a time of 3h 57m 35s. Second place went to Sally Yuska with a time of 3h 59m 16s and in third Ariel Coy with a time of 4h 12m 25s.

In medio fondo distance, Matt Stolle was forst for the men and Teresa Lions first for the women.
Carmel city hosted another edition under the management of Matt Tanner and Rollfast team, where Team Cinch Coaching, lead by former pro Tom Danielson, paced an amazing speed over 25 mi/h during the ride around Hamilton County, with long straights, 90 degree turns, soft hills and cross winds marking the parcours of the event.

The Rollfast Gran Fondo is considerated the "Fastest Gran Fondo" event in the world, held on secure and safe roads, where participants can reach their best time on the 100 miles Gran Fondo course, receiving full support from a team of Harley Davidson bikers who secured every intersection to make for a safe event, and also handed team water bottles during the race.

This made for an authentic North American Gran Fondo experience to ride in the fastest peloton, where wide rims and aero bikes came with the territory, rounded off with a big friendly group that made for amazing experience for all participamts.
In 2018, Rollfast partnered with more than 20 new and returning local, national, and international partners, such as Thomson Bike Tours, Sun King Brewing, Maker's Mark, Normatec, The Loft and Cinch Coaching; bringing some very cool products and services to their fans and participants. Their partnerships help make the world-class Rollfast Gran Fondo the fastest possible.

The Rollfast Gran Fondo was the third and final round of the North American Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series, after the Saddleback Gran Fondo in California and Bluewater International Gran Fopndo in Sarnia, Ontario (Canada). It closed an amazing series of events in US and Canada, which will expand next year, due to the huge growth in the number gran fondo participants in North America and beyond.
After this, there are several cyclists who will represent North America (having ridden two US GFWT events) who will fight for the overall CASH prizes of $36,000 USD in the last event in South Africa, the Amashova Durban Classic, October 20-21 in Durban, the closing event for 2019 world tour series season!
