La Trilogy de Maurienne next round of the Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series in France

The Maurienne Trilogy is one of the oldest and hardest events in the French cyclosportive calendar and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful

The climbs made famous in the Tour de France, the Lacets of Montvernier, Col du Chaussy, Madeleine, Col de la Croix de Fer, Glandon, Mollard and the Col du Galibier ... these are all on the menu of the event in the largest bike area in the world - La Maurienne from July 12 -14, 2019.

Renowned as one of the hardest cycling events in France, this event is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful!

The event consists of 4 courses spread over the Trilogy of Maurienne, that is to say the 3 days of competition in the assault of these mythical passes.

11th Round of the Gran Fondo World Tour ® 2019

The Maurienne Trilogy (ex-Arvan Villard) is the 11th round of the 2019 Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series.

Open to all, the Challenge brings together in a unique international circuit the most beautiful amateur cycling events to give the participant the opportunity to put himself in the shoes of a professional cyclist and compete against the best foreign cyclists. Participating in the GFWT is an opportunity for everyone, beginner or advanced, to discover different cultures, new ideal places to practice their passion or to meet new fellow travellers on different continents.

7 “Hors Categorie” climbs with 288 km, 3 stages for the most demanding challenge on the 2019 Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series, also included within the French Cyclo Tour  Rotor Challenge series, participants obtain Gran Fondo World Tour ® points for the best two stages and 1,100 Gran Fondo World Tour ® points for best man and woman
 
The event will really suit those who love climbing these mythical passes!

Stage 1

The first stage on July 12 includes the HC climbs of the Col du Chaussy and Col del la Madeleine over 72 kms and 2,530m of climbing.

Stage 2

The second stage include the HC climbs of the Col du Telegraphe and Col du Galibier over 98kms and 2,540m of climbing.

Stage 3

The final stage includes the first category climbs of the Col de la Croix de Fer and Col du Mollard for the final assault up the HC climb of Montee de la Toussuire ski staion before dscending down to Pierrepin for the final climb up to Ct Sorlin d'Araves.
