Primoz Roglic wants to win the 2020 Tour de France

With Primoz Roglic, Dylan Groenewegen, Steven Kruijswijk, and new signee Tom Dumoulin all on the roster, Jumbo-Visma will have some tough decisions to make in 2020.

“The more time trial kilometres, the better for me, but the 20th stage of the race, the climbing time trial of Le Planche des Belles Filles, can be very good for me and I think I could make a difference there,” Roglic told Marca. “That is my favourite stage and I would like to take the Yellow Jersey there to wear it then in Paris."

“When I saw that the time trial is happening on the last day of competition I got very happy, but I don’t want to get my hopes up. I have to go step by step. Until now I have only started on the Tour twice and I need to be careful.”

“(Egan) Bernal and (Chris) Froome have a super team that has dominated the Tour for many years,” the Slovenian commented.

“We have reinforced our roster and we are not scared of Ineos, in any case maybe they should be scared of us. I think we can fight to win the three Grand Tours with Dumoulin, Kruisjwijk and me. But we always need to have respect for the rivals.”

It won’t be easy taking on Ineos, but Jumbo-Visma looks to be among the few teams in the peloton with the firepower to at least have a chance.
