Stefan Küng attacks from the gun to win Digital Suisse Criterium
Stefan Kung (Groupama-FDJ) dominated stage two of the Digital Swiss 5 with Filippo Ganna (Team Ineos) second and Michael Matthews (Sunweb Team) third
Local Swiss rider Kung attacked pretty much for the gun to build up a significant lead on the stage that featured for laps of afairly flat 11.5 km course.
Kung hit the front after the opening few kilometres and powered his way clear of the rest of the 53 rider field.
Kung held over 6 w/kg,behind Michael Matthews and Greg Van Avermaet chased him down.
Fillipo Ganna slowly reeledin Matthews and van Avermaet and overhauled them and pulled away.
Kung had plenty of time to sit up and celebrate on the line.
Behind Ganna crossed the line 47 seconds behind as Matthews and Van Avermaet sprinted for the line as Matthews edged out Van Avermaet to takethird place/
Stage 3 on Friday is probably one is the most "Swiss" of the stages as the peloton tackle to legendary climb of the Nufenen Pass, one of Switzerland's most iconic mountain passes that every cyclist should climb at least once.
