Here comes the third edition of the CAMPILARO Pyrenees. Our cyclosportive event has now grown from national to international since Spain is now part of the Campilaro challenge.

A completely new route around three host cities, Saint-Lary Soulan, Luchon, Vielha in the Val d'Aran and always the same desire, to introduce you to the legendary Pyrenean passes. Those famous passes climbed in major professional events like the Tour de France, the Vuelta or the Route du Sud ... what would indeed these great tours be without these roads once carved into the mountain to link the valleys and which are now at the heart of the legends of the sport.

We can’t forget either the less publicly lauded passes, away from the mythical roads but equally grandiose in terms of difficulty or aesthetics. These "new" mountain roads have inspired us a lot of emotion during reconnaissance trips. For instance the climb to the Hospice de France (11.6 km at 6.5% average) is a raw, wild route, with stretches of 13% to arrive to a place that made a mark in history.

Indeed it was once used during the second world war, by refugees fleeing France to escape the STO and join the Free French Forces (RECO See our video of this first step in the Gallery section). Besides, the Port of Bonaiga, 2072m (23 km from Vielha 5% average), the roof of the CAMPILARO 2017.

A new format in 4 stages over three days has been developed. During the second day there will be 2-halfstagesstarting in the morning with the steep climb up to superbagneres(18,2km 6.3% average) in the footsteps of two great legends and Tour winners, Federico Bahamontes
(1962) and Bernard Hinault (1979).

The race is human-sized, an ideal mix of sport and conviviality. Only 198 bibs are available!
