Ingenuity and Design Stand Out at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show; Sacramento Announced to Host 2019 Show

After a historic show in the Northeast marked by outstanding exhibitor and guest participation, next year’s show heads to Sacramento

Feb 19, 2018 (Hartford, CT) -- The North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS), the largest and oldest handbuilt bicycle show in the world, yesterday capped a highly successful first appearance in the Northeast at the Connecticut Convention Center, featuring a host of new exhibitors and a strong turnout of regional show attendees eager to experience the event for the first time in their backyard.

The three-day 2018 event featured over 150 exhibitors - from framebuilders to component brands to wheel builders - and just about everything else for handmade bikes. Over the 3-day event, NAHBS drew over 8,200 attendees, including media, volunteers, exhibitors and their guests, all there to peruse the one-of-a-kind items on display.

"We’re thrilled by the enthusiastic welcome that Hartford gave us for the show’s inaugural appearance in the Northeast. The impressive turnout from the region just goes to demonstrate the strength of the cycling culture and passion for handcrafted bicycles here,” says Don Walker, Founder and President of NAHBS. “There were so many novel bikes exhibited this year, it was truly a spectacle. I’m very pleased with how the show turned out, and all of the exhibitors and attendees I spoke with shared the same enthusiasm and energy of the show. It was a special year for NAHBS."
