Kick off your 2016 cycling season on April 16 with The Founders Barry-Roubaix Killer Gravel Road Race, the largest gravel road race in the world!

Like the classic it’s named after, Barry-Roubaix will test riders against (80%) rolling gravel roads, pavement, one mile of rough two track, rocks, sand, mud, and possibly snow and ice as you traverse the scenic roads of Barry County.

We offer three race lengths to challenge riders of all abilities. The 22-mile CU Link“Chiller” has approx. 1200 feet of elevation,

The 36-mile Smith Optics “Thriller” climbs approx. 2200 feet
The 62-mile Sram “Killer” you can expect approx. 3800 feet of elevation.

Registration will open December 1st 2015 at 7 AM and closes April 6, 2016 at 11:45pm or sooner if the 3,500 racer cap is met.

• The course will be marked. Directional arrows will be coordinated with your race length. RED = 62 mile, YELLOW = 36 mile and BLUE = 22 mile race

Also a free entry will be awarded to the 2016 race for each of the winners of these 4 classes • $3000 cash awards sponsored by Greenware plus trophies or medals to the top ten men and top five women OVERALL 36 mile racers (no age categories). 1st-$450, 2nd-$300, 3rd-$225, 4th-$150, 5th-$135, 6th-$120, 7th-$110, 8th-$100, 9th-$85, 10th-$65 • Overall trophies and prizes to the men and women 22 mile racers and medals or prizes to the top five 22 mile racers in age categories • The race waves start at 10:00 a.m. The 62 mile race waves start first followed by 36 mile and 22- mile race categories. All race wave start times will be published and communicated race week as well as on the back of your number plate. starting in the wrong wave will result in disqualification! No exceptions! • Instant Chronotrack Timing by Newton Timing. Rigid handlebar number plates with timing chips will be used for the best timing available. The race will be scored as a time trial (just like Iceman) to avoid a mass start of 3500 racers!

Michigan Youth Cycling and Kisscross Events will award scholarship certificates to the fastest under 18 year old male and female in the 24 and 36 mile races each

When are the awards?

A: 24 mile awards held at 1 pm, 36 mile awards held at 2:30 and 62 mile awards held at 3:30. If you finish in the top five of the 24 mile race or the top ten of the 36 or 62 mile race please attend
