This is the nineteenth year that the Grayling Rotary Club has organized a Black Bear event and we will continue with the gran fondo format we started in 2016 which has been wildly successful!.We are grateful for the many loyal followers we have developed over the years and hope to continue to earn their support and loyalty with our redesigned Black Bear Gran Fondo event and attract new Black Bear enthusiasts who will also return year after year.

What are the registration fees?*

On-line fee increase dates and paper form post mark dates:
Fee Early bird rate: January 1-31 $35
February 1-29 $40
March 1 – April 30 $45
May 1 – July 8 (July 4 for paper form) $50

On-site registration event weekend on July 10-11 $60
Student (under age 18) January 1 through July 11 $25

*Event T-shirts and/or extra celebration meals for friends or family members are optional purchases separate from the registration fee and can be purchased in the pre-registration process, on-line or on paper.

• 45, 62 and 100 mile chip-timed loops on paved roads through rural northern Michigan’s picturesque AuSable River Valley
• All routes start and end at Hanson Hills Recreation Area (HHRA)
• Free Friday night (July 10) rustic camping on Hanson Hills Recreation Area (HHRA) grounds.
• Self-serve continental breakfast at Main Lodge of Hanson Hills on morning of event 6:30A-8:00A
• Volunteers at key corners and at nutrition/hydration/biobreak stops
• Clear signage every five miles and in advance of rest stations
• Roving SAG support and SWEEPS
• Party at the finish line: delicious celebration meal, craft beer, fun, music and friends!

Yes.

Is on-site registration available event weekend?

Yes, packet pick up for those who are pre-registered for all routes and on-site registration for those who prefer to register on event weekend take place at the same times and places as above: on-site at Northbound Outfitters on Friday, July 10 between 5:00PM and 7:00PM or at the Main Lodge of Hanson Hills Recreation Area on Saturday, July 11 between 6:30AM and 8:30AM. Black Bear registration fees are $60 during on-site registration of event weekend.
