Brazil Road Ride

October 20 - October 26 2019
Botucatu, Brazil

In October, southern Bahia hosts the biggest mountain bike challenge in the Americas! The bikers will leave the coastal region, better known as the Costa do Descobrimento, where the first Portuguese arrived in Brazil in 1500. They head towards the interior, crossing the mountains that divide the states of Bahia and Minas Gerais, and return to the coast to receive the desired finisher flag. They are seven days in a perfect setting for the greatest experience of their lives!

The organization's structure, compared to only the world's largest ultra-marathons, provides competitors with everything they need - water, food, camping, technical support and medical support while athletes care only about what they like to do, pedaling. Each day of testing has on average 80 to 100 kilometers of pure mountain biking.

The real challenge of this event is not only to overcome, but in self-knowledge, to live the sport, to overcome the limits and to get as close to the nature that can be. Side by side, sports lovers and stars of the national and world MTB will make this journey through the heart of Brazil. On the trail, at the dinner table, at the camp, the fraternization and exchange of experience among the athletes will be one of the pillars of the event.

Always in teams, Brazil Ride has the categories FEMALE, MISTA, OPEN, MASTER (no athlete under 40 in the Master category), GRANDMASTER (no athlete under 50), NELORE (over 90kg), CORPORATE (3 members with at least 35 years and the sum of the ages equal to or greater than 115 years) and IRON RIDER. "Start looking for your partner, because the vacancies are limited to 500 athletes", warns the organizer and ultra marathoner Mario Roma.

This year, 2019, Brazil Ride launches the IRON RIDER SPECIAL AWARD for athletes competing for triathlon of long distances (3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.1 km run).
