Bikes and Beers Virtual Social Distance Ride 2020 - FIND OUT MORE!

September 06 2020
Napa, California, USA

The Napa9 was first attempted (and completed by 3 riders) in the sizzling heat of July 2016. For his "retirement party," Napa Police Officer Ken Chapman organized a small group of experienced, and some would say crazy, cyclists to help raise money for the Napa Police Youth Services Bureau. Along the way, $10,000 was raised for the YSB and an epic event in Napa Valley was born. This ride takes both physical and mental toughness. Only experienced cyclists who have done multiple rides of six to nine hours over extremely challenging terrain and weather conditions should ride. The recent Napa Valley winter has taken a toll on the roads—some of the descents are on very rough and pot-holed filled pavement; it takes a very skilled rider to navigate these safely.

While not trying to scare anyone away, we want to be honest about what it takes to complete this ride. In a way, we hope this intrigues those looking for a massive challenge and have experience doing these types of events and want to add a new "epic" day to their collection (so to speak).
