Gran Fondo Nove Colli

May 18 - May 21 2018

Nove Colli is one of Italy’s most famous granfondos, literally translated as nine hills but it is not only the challenging course that has made Nove Colli a must for so many international cyclists. Few places in Italy can offer such rich history and intense passion for cycling as Cesenatico. The birth place of Marco Pantani, Ceseantico has been the home of Nove Colli for all of it’s 47 years. The seaside town is blessed with beautiful bars, cafes and views over the Mediterranean. A place to be enjoyed both on and of the bike.

Our weekend packages offers riders the chance to enjoy every moment of their stay in Italy. On arrival at the airport you will me met by our team and privately transferred to Hotel Lungomare. Silvia at her staff at Hotel Lungomare are good friends of Italy Bike Tours and clients can expect a warm welcome. This fully supported weekend includes entry to Move Colli, a visit to Pantani Museum, 2 guided rides, full mechanical support and two splendid evening meals.

This package has all the hall marks of an Italy Bike Tours gran fondo weekend. Superb organisation, attention to detail and our relationships with Nove Colli mean the clients can look forward to a great weekend in stupendous Italy.

Silivia and the team will be waiting for you at Hotel Lungomare and after a swift check-in we will meet in the bike room before a late afternoon ride. A chance to spin the legs and for those hiring bikes a chance to get used to a new bike for the weekend.

Before dinner in the hotel restaurant your tour manager will give you a briefing on the following day. With over 9000 cyclists taking part in November Colli it is important that everybody in the group understands the itinerary.

After a super breakfast we will head out on the bike towards the Nova Colli expo. On arrival you will have a chance to explore, take photos and soak up the atmosphere. Our team will be on hand to assist you with the registration process and after a coffee your guide will lead you on a tour that will include the last 2 climbs of Nov Colli. Safely back in the hotel our mechanic will be on hand to do last minute checks on your bike. The hotel offers an outdoor pool and superb wellness centre, a chance to relax and unwind. Your tour manager will once again give you a briefing of tomorrows itinerary including an early start! Dinner will once again be served in the hotel restaurant and you can be sure that Hotel Lungomare would have prepared a special pre Nova Colli menu.
