The Dead Man Gravel Grind is back for 2018 and sure to provide as much of a challenge as its inaugural year. This years course remains the same, however, the start finish has been moved to Address: 4610 Greens Crossing Rd, Ridgeland, MS 39157 Rocky Hill Baptist Church. The race will begin on pavement for 1/2 mile and quickly turn onto gravel #1 which is Society Ridge Road (2 miles). After society ridge, racers turn right onto Cavalier Road which contains the infamous Cavalier Climb ( 1k climb) Cavalier Road is all paved and provides racers with some respite from gravel. Next turn is a right on Rouser which is paved nicely until you hit mile 7.5. (gravel segment 2 miles). Next turn is right onto N. county line which is extremely rough chip seal with some potholes throughout. Next gravel is a right turn back on Greens Grossing which is at mile 12. Greens crossing is gravel and 2 miles long. Race finish is a nice .2 steep gravel pitch up to the church!

Beginners will do 1 lap which is 14 miles.

Men 15-39 42 miles (3 laps)

Men 40+ 42 miles (3 laps)

Women Open 42 miles (3 laps)

Elite Men 56 miles (4 laps)

Awards are 5 deep for all categories. Payout dependent on registration numbers. Awards/payout will be updated as the event approaches.
