The Cyprus Gran Fondo, formerly known as the VW Cyprus Cycling Tour,  is a 3-day Road "Cycling for All" events, which, since 2017 is featured among the 19 biggest cycling events for amateurs of the UCI, of which 10 are held in Europe. The Gran Fondo World Series are for cyclists ranging from pros to beginners and act as qualifiers for the world amateur championship to be held in September 2019 in Poznan, Poland. All participants of Cyprus Gran Fondo will have the opportunity to earn their qualification in the Gran Fondo World Championships.

The first day will give you the chance to qualify for the Individual Time Trial World Championships whereas the following two days will give you two separate chances (one in every stage) to qualify for the Road Race world Championships. Every rider who qualifies for the World Championships, through the Cyprus Gran Fondo, will receive a commemorative UCI Gran Fondo World Series medal whereas all riders will receive a participant's medal Cyprus Gran Fondo 2019!

It's an event where professional and amateur riders will ride shoulder to shoulder, climb the nicest Cyprus Mountains and enjoy the Cyprus weather and nature. Starting every dat nest to the Mediterranean coats, you will climb some of the nicest mountains of the island and pass through traditional and rustic villages, and then returm back to have fun in a relaxing and comfortable atmpsphere.
