Aristoteles Chalkidiki Granfondo

The company ‘Sports Tours Hellas’ with the Prefecture of Central Macedonia and the Municipality of Aristoteles, the support of the Hellenic Cycling Federation, the Greek Tourism Organization and the Macedonia Champer, are in the pleasant position to announce the holding, for the first time, of a qualifier UGFWS event, on May 23rd-25th 2021 in Macedonia.

The races will be held under the UCI and Hellenic Cycling Federation regulations. The Individual Time Trial (ITT) is 22.5 km long. The GranFondo will be 113,5 km long (for all Women categories and Men for age  categories 60-64 & 65+ the distance is 87.8 km. long (Mediofondo). The event will offer results in different age groups. The age groups will be as follows: 19-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+ both women and men according to the new UGFWS regulations. After the end of each race, the first 3 athletes of each age group will be awarded. Qualification to the 2021 World Championship will be given to the 20% of the riders from each age category according to the final general classification.

Due to the serious “side effects” and insecurity that Covid 19 pandemic has caused in relation to 2021 sport events, the organizing company of Aristoteles – Chalkidiki GF decided to proceed to a full refund in case of non-participation in the event or allow the transfer of the registration cost to the 2022 event. Prize / Race Categories
