In June 2019 the Pedaleando por México AC, with the support of the Mexican Cycling Federation, organized for the second time in the state capital the UCI Gran Fondo San Luis Potosi, which is part of the calendar UCI Gran Fondo World Series, exclusively for cyclists amateurs and belongs to the calendars of the International Cycling Union (UCI); those participating will qualify for the World Championships amateur cycling, to be held in Poznan, Poland, in any of the tests that make this event: Individual Time Trial and Gran Fondo.

Under the slogan Cycling for all, the UCI World Series Gran Fondo seeks to promote global cycling amateurs to give cyclists the opportunity to participate in tests of high level competitive cycling worldwide.

Cyclists arriving within 25 percent of the fastest times in each of the eight official categories, will qualify for the World Championships in Poznan, Poland in Septmber 2019.

Costs

Applies from January 1st to February 28th, 2019.

     Time trial: $ 1,800
     Gran Fondo: $ 2,200
     Package of both: $ 3,200

Applies from March 1st to April 30th and only if there are places available.

     Time trial: $ 2,000
     Gran Fondo: $ 2,400
     Package of both: $ 3,600

Applies from 1st to May 31st and only if there are places available.

     Time trial: $ 2,200
     Gran Fondo: $ 2,600
     Package of both: $ 4,000

What's Included?

Time Trial jersey (if registered). The size of the sweater is guaranteed if the registration is made before April 30.
Jersey of Great Fund (in case of being inscribed). The size of the sweater is guaranteed if the registration is made before April 30.
Socks of Time Trial (if registered).
Stockings of Gran Fondo (if registered).
Commemorative medal for all cyclists who complete both tests. They are a time trial medal and a Gran Fondo medal.
Event water bottle.
Cyclist package with gifts from the sponsors and the Organizing Committee. Still to be confirmed.
Road safety provided by the different police corporations, in addition to the Federal Police, throughout the journey.
Medical insurance (both days of the event).
Hydration service with water, isotonic drink and snacks in areas marked within the route.
Medical attention with ambulances during the route and arrival.
Neutral mechanical service. The parts are not covered by the organizers.
Free and safe biking in the finish area so you can enjoy the activities upon your arrival.

Packet Pickups

Packet pickups will take place on Friday, June 7, in a place still to be confirmed.
The delivery time is from 12:00 on the day and ends at 20:00 hours.
On Saturday the 8th, packages will be delivered to cyclists who only participate in the Gran Fondo and who could not pick up their package on Friday. The schedule for the delivery of packages is from 12.00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
