Peter Sagan sprints to victory in Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne

Peter Sagan won the 2017 edition of Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne. He out sprinted his breakaway companions Jasper Stuyven and Luke Rowe, Benoot, and Trenti.

Last year's winner Jasper Stuyven of Trek-Segafredo attacked. The Belgian was joined by Peter Sagan, Tiesj Benoot (Lotto-Soudal), Luke Rowe (Sky) and Matteo Trentin (Quick-Step).

This move proved to be final blow to those that had missed the cut earlier as the five remained ahead of their chasers and the peloton and as such got to battle for the victory in a small sprint.

Van Avermaet Goes Back to Back at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad

Greg Van Avermaet claimed his second consecutive win at Omloop Het Niuewsblad with a stunning sprint to the line ahead of Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgohe) and Sep Vanmarcke (Cannondale-Drapac Pro Cycling Team).

Van Avermaet, Sagan and Vanmarcke were in the lead 20km before the finish line, and it was this trio that would hold off the reduced peloton and battle it out for the win.

The three riders were eyeing each other in the final 2km but it was Van Avermaet who was positioned well on the inside approaching the line and sprinted to claim his first win of the season.

Guide to Weight Loss during Base Training

Base endurance is an essential component of getting fit and prepared to ride Gran Fondos, Century Rides, Gravel Grinders and multi-day rides like bicycle tours and charity rides.

In this phase, typically in Spring, you lay down the foundation of longer rides that allow your body to adapt to riding for over 5 hours of more.

In fact some of the big Gran Fondos in the mountains will take you anywhere from 5 to 10 hours to complete.

HUNKR – Brings 100 Kilometer Bicycle Racing to Orange County on March 18th

A HUNKR is a 100 kilometer bicycle race. Racing a set distance of 100 km will bring new competitors by providing an opportunity to race against others as well as racing towards a personal time goal.

Currently, there is little opportunity to make a living as a professional cyclist. Having a HUNKR series that spans the globe and arcs the calendar is our take on how to grow the professional side of the sport. $10,000 in prize money, a sizable purse, and racers under 23 race free!

Registration is now open!
