Caleb Ewan Scores Hattrick as Porte Leads

Caleb Ewan of Orica-Scott has secured his third stage win in this year's Tour Down Under.

Richie Porte remains in the lead with two stages to go. The peloton was only just in time to catch the last remaining escapee, Jack Bauer of Quickstep, and Daryl Impey delivered perfect work to help his teammate Ewan win the sprint ahead of Peter Sagan of Bora-hansgrohe and Team Sky's Danny van Poppel.

Stage 5 will likely decide the battle for the overall classification with two rather steep climbs in the finale, the latter of which leads up to the finish line at Willunga Hill!

Second for Peter Sagan on stage 3 of the Tour Down Under

After a day for the GC riders yesterday, the Tour Down Under turned its attention to the sprinters again today.

After a tough stage where the break dominated, the sprinters stepped up in the finale. Slowed by a crash in the final few kilometres, the UCI World Champion, Peter Sagan, took second, narrowly missing the win after a strong final push.

The UCI World Champion skillfully avoided the crash, but was slowed in his ride to the finish line coming second behind Caleb Ewan.

Ewan out sprinted Sagan and Niccolo Bonifazio to win his second stage at the 2017 Santos Tour Down Under.

Caleb Ewan had work to do on the final run into Victor Harbor, in the closing hundred metres he came from the back to outsprint Sagan, who lead out the initial sprint. A crash was inevitable and Gorka Izagirre went down pretty hard after a touch of wheels.

Race Leader Richie Porte finished safely in the bunch with his BMC team mates.

Quintana Confirms Giro-Tour Double Attempt

Nairo Quintana will be at the start of the 100th Giro d'Italia.

On the way to the biggest challenge of his season, the Tour de France, the Colombian rider will be back in the Corsa Rosa, which already saw him coming victorious through his maiden and, so far, only attempt to conquer pink, back in 2014.

Quintana will thus aim for the Giro-Tour double for the first time in his career.

The Colombian will not defend his 2016 La Vuelta a España title.

Silber And Giordana Join Forces Again In 2017

Silber Pro Cycling is proud to announce it’s continued partnership with Giordana Cycling Apparel in 2017.

It was the design team at Giordana who helped brand the team in 2015 with its now distinctive fluro-orange color scheme. In 2016, Giordana introduced Silber’s popular ‘Café Jersey’–a comfortable alternative team jersey designed for training. This year the design of Silber’s race kit has been revised, while the Café Jersey has been redesigned and made available as either a training jersey or in Merino wool.

BORA´s Jay McCarthy fights for time bonuses at Tour Down Under

The Tour Down Under was presented with its first summit finish on stage 2.

After the team picked up time bonuses throughout the day, Jay McCarthy held onto his fourth spot in the GC, looking ahead to the hard riding on the days to come. Sponsored by hansgrohe, the profile of stage 3 will see fireworks as the race for the GC hots up. With some of the most challenging terrain of the race, there’s barely a moment of flat road between the start in Glenelg and the finish in Victor Harbor.

The short, sharp kicks of the finishing circuit, ridden four times, could encourage late attacks and a GC shake up!

Tour de Yorkshire Launches Land Art Competition

To celebrate 100 days to go until the start of the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire, which runs between 28-30 April, Welcome to Yorkshire has launched its annual land art competition and is now on the hunt for the county’s best installations.

Last year’s competition proved a huge success with massive, eye-catching pieces being displayed right along the race route.

Whether it’s a church spire draped in a blue jersey, a field housing a mammoth bicycle, or a market square spelling out messages of support, all works are welcomed and stand a great chance of being beamed to over 11 million people in 178 countries when the race’s live television helicopters sweep across the county.
