Tejay Van Garderen and Rohan Dennis to lead BMC Racing at 100th Giro d Italia

Tejay van Garderen and Rohan Dennis will make their Giro d’Italia debut when they line up next week as BMC Racing Team’s leaders at the 100th edition of the race.

Van Garderen, who is the team’s primary leader, will join forces with Dennis, who is there to test his Grand Tour General Classification abilities.

Dennis has his sights set on a gradual Grand Tour development that starts next week in Italy.

Mikel Landa and Geraint Thomas lead Sky into Giro d Italia

Mikel Landa and Geraint Thomas will lead Team Sky in the 100th edition of the Giro d’Italia, which starts next week in Sardinia (5th May) and ends in Milan on Sunday 28th May.

Both Mikel and Geraint are coming into the race in excellent form.

Exclusive interview with Colombian climber Nairo Quintana, who insists he's in good shape to tackle a Tour de France-Giro d'Italia double this year.

The last rider to win both the Tour and Giro in the same year was the late Italian Marco Pantani in 1998.and when two-time Tour winner Alberto Contador tried to achieve the feat two years ago, he managed fifth in the Tour after winning the Giro.

Quintana discusses his season so far, his approach to training, the course of the 100th edition and of course his main rivals and the key stages.

Thousands pay their respects to Scarponi

Around five thousands mourners attended the funeral of cyclist Michele Scarponi in his home town of Filottrano on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old was killed when he was hit by a van close to his home during a training ride on Saturday, just days after he had finished fourth overall in the Tour of the Alps.

Members of Scarponi's Astana team, led by Fabio Aru, were joined by others including former team-mate Vincenzo Nibali and world champion Peter Sagan at his funeral.
