Stage 2

Yas Island holds the amusement park Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and the Yas Marina Circuit. So it’s a place that’s used to high speeds. Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest roller coaster, is located here and the circuit hosted the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since 2009

Following the start the riders leave Yas Island to head for Khalifa Port, a deepwater port north of Abu Dhabi town (and Yas Island). Along the coastline the Abu Dhabi Tour heads back. The route is as flat as can be. If a strong westerly wind would be blowing, then this would be a setback to cope with. The second part of the race would be open to echelons with crosswinds and headwinds lurking everywhere.

The first three riders on the line take time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the two intermediate sprints (at kilometre 101.9 and at kilometre 133.0) come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.

The 2nd stage of the 2018 Abu Dhabi Tour starts at 12:00 and the finish is expected around 15:30 – both local times.
