Stage 2

Monday September 03 2018 - Cranbrook to Barnstaple - 174 km

After a year’s absence the OVO Energy Tour of Britain returns to the South West of England on Stage Two, which also represented the race’s 10th visit to Devon in the past 12 years. Day two of this year’s race departs from the UK’s newest town – Cranbrook – and finishes in Barnstaple, which last welcomed the race back in 2012.

Stage Two’s final climb, the one-kilometre ascent of Challacombe, near Woolacombe (which averages 13%), is situated close enough to the finish to encourage attacks while also enabling the sprinters’ teams to mobilise their trains in support of their leaders. A nail-biting finale awaits!
