Stage 6

Friday September 07 2018 - Barrow-in-Furness to Whinlatter Pass - 169 km

If the OVO Energy Tour of Britain’s GC took shape during its first-ever team time trial stage, day six of the race will give fans the biggest hint yet as to who will be crowned the 2018 champion in London.

Riders will climb Whinlatter Pass twice more, from its harder eastern side, during a 169-kilometre road stage that starts in Barrow-in-Furness and passes north along the Coast Road to Ulverston. The second of the ascents up the three-kilometre climb (complete with a gradient that averages 7%) will culminate with a finish at the Forestry Commission’s visitor centre.
