Choose your Challenge at the Nation's only Accessible Gran Fondo event

On Saturday, September 10, the Challenge Fondo rides again with options for cyclists of ALL abilities.

July 7th, Chico, California - All timed routes offer categories for adaptive athletes with upper or lower limb disabilities, vision or hearing impairments, handcyclists, recumbents and tandems (blind or sighted stokers) as well as the usual age-group categories for fully-able cyclists.

Timed route options include hilly 100, 65 and 50 mile, a flat fast 30 mile course, and with a more leisurely flat 20 mile fun-ride (not a timed event) , we offer a Challenge for everyone. We invite all members of your family to come out and bicycle ride together!

All riders receive an event t-shirt, well-stocked rest stops, on-road support, finisher souvenir, and post-ride meal. Timed riders compete for awards, prizes, and podium positions.

All routes start at event headquarters, Durham Community Park (near Chico CA), on September 10th.

Our co-host, Ability First Sports, will have handcycles on-site for disabled athletes who would like to try one. All those interested in a hand-cycle test-riding a handcycle should register with Ability First for the 20 mile fun ride, a 3 mile test-ride or a parking lot demo.
