Miguel Lopez wins Milano-Torino

Colombian Migel Lopez (Astana) attacked break away companion Michael Woods (Cannondale) in the last 100 metres as the pair dueled for victory

over the the last few kilometres with the reminants of the peloton chasing. Roman Bardet attacked from what was left of the head of the race to try and bridge across but to no avail. There was no combined chase by the group, so Lopez and Woods stayed away.

Woods had attacked with around 4 kms to go on the final climb of the SupeGa. Peter Kennaugh (Team Sky) had already been swallowed up. Woods got a good gap and then Lopez attacked the Peleton and bridges across.

Woods attacked with around a kilometre to go, but Lopez who hadn't burnt as many matches, countered and in the last 250 km's left Woods trailing. Lopz solo'ed home to victory.
