FELT Gravel Cup Canada p/b Euro-Sports Announces 2020 Series with 7 Exciting Events

Ride the best gravel routes that Ottawa and its surrounding counties have to offer this season which all count towards the Canada Gravel Cup Championship!

(Ontario, Canada)FELT Gravel Cup Canada p/b Euro-Sports, has just announced full details of its Gravel Cup Series of cycling events for 2020.

Taking place in Ottawa (a gravel cycling mecca), and open to both recreational and competitive cyclists, the routes take riders on primarily gravel and unmaintained roads in Canada’s National Capital region and surrounding counties.

There are two distances which cater to a wide range of cycling abilities; the Sport (40 to 60 km) and the Challenge (70 to 90 km).

In true Gravel Fondo spirit, the events are self-supported and open to both licensed and un-licensed riders of all experience levels.

While riders should be self-reliant, events do include; Chip timing, ATV support,    FREE event photos and a Podium/Medals presentation for Challenge and Sport categories.

Riders, (Female and Male) accumulating the most “Challenge” event points at the end of the series will be crowned the Canada Gravel Cup Champion, have their name inscribed into history on the coveted GRAVEL CUP, and take home the final series leaders jersey!

The kickoff event, the FELT Gravel Cup: KIN Vineyards Kermesse starts at the picturesque setting of KIN Vineyards in the western rural area of Ottawa on April 4th, 2020.

The FELT Gravel Cup: KIN Vineyards Spring Runoff sends racers and adventurers alike over the best gravel and paved roads of the West Carleton area of Ottawa on April 18th, 2020. KIN Vineyards plays host again to this popular event where weather conditions can be a big factor.

FELT Gravel Cup: The Randonneur on May 2nd 2020 moves to the Town of Renfrew with new exciting routes for the Gravel Cups first 2020 foray into Renfrew County.

The FELT Gravel Cup: Renfrew Roubaix on June 13, 2020 starts in Calabogie in the picturesque Opeongo Mountains and Calabogie Lake meander around Hurds Lake and the mighty Madawaska River.

The FELT Gravel Cup: Kawartha Rube-Eh? on August 1, 2020 is Gravel Cup’s foray into Southern Ontario uses the best gravel the City of Kawartha Lakes has to offer.

Canada’s unofficial FELT National Gravel Championships takes place on September 19, 2020 at McGregors Orchard in McNab/Braeside. While some will be racing for the championship, the route caters to adventurers who want to experience the best of gravel in one course.

The FELT Gravel Cup: KIN Vineyards Fall Grally on October 2, 2020 is the finale of the 2020 Gravel Cup comes back to KIN Vineyards for another spin around the beautiful area of West Carleton.

2020 Gravel Cup Canada Series


FELT RGG3 - Renfrew Rough Rider Griffith Gravel Grinder

In addition to the Gravel Cup Series, FELT R3G3 - Renfrew Rough Rider Griffith Gravel Grinder on May 23, 2020 in Griffith, ON is a new genre for Gravel Cup.

It is a proper Gravel Grinder with a challenging scenic route, taking you over some incredible terrain that Renfrew has to offer. This will be an awesome experience on and off the bike, with some notable Gravel Pros participating and a festive atmosphere celebrating the local and Gravel community.

FELT R3G3 has a course for cyclists of all abilities, from the 17km Family Grind, 60km Adventure, 100km Challenge and the tougher 160 km Epic course. Pick your route, bring a camera, and have a great day grinding it out with the Gravel Cup Gravel Gang!

There will also be Podium places and Medals available for the top finishers for both men and women.

Event includes ATV support, aid stations, chip timing, and post-race food and beverages.
