Pedal Imua circles the legendary West Maui Mountains for nearly 100 km (60 miles) of rolling scenic coastal and mountain views. The ride starts and finishes at sea level and contains 4,173 feet of climbing. There is the option of the 50 km (30 mile) half ride to cater for cyclists of all abilities.

The West Maui Loop was voted one of the best 10 bike rides in the world - by Bicycle Magazine.

Just behind the 10,000 foot climb on the ride up Haleakala, the West Maui Loop is the most popular road bike ride on Maui! The entire bike ride hugs the stunning shoreline, on quiet, virtually traffic free roads.  This often overlooked route along the Northwest coast of Maui is not heavily visited by travellers.

The Hawaiian name for the West Maui Mountains is Kahalawai, meaning House of Water. Also known as Hale Mahina, meaning House of the Moon, after Hina, a lunar goddess. West Maui is home to many important historical and sacred sites in Hawaiian culture.

You’ll experience epic views of Maui, Molokai, and Lanai islands and you might even spot some Humpback whales out at sea.

Sponsored hydration and rest stops are located along the way, tol keep you at your peak performance. This year, riders will be treated to a pancake brunch following the ride.
