Yeeee Haaaw! Saddle up and get ready to experience Nebraska’s Wild West at its finest this June 5th

Buffalo Bill epitomises this truly Wild West ride, through thick groves of trees, grasslands, paved and dirt roads across Lincoln County. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience one of Nebraska’s best mountain biking trails, Potters Pasture.

Buffalo Bill was made famous through his colourful Buffalo Bill’s Wild West and Congress of Rough Riders of the World Show, which made him one of the world’s first global celebrities back in the late 1800’s!

There are three distances of 25, 60 and 120 miles to suit all abilities of cyclists.

The ride starts at 7am sharp on Saturday June 5th at Fort Cody Trading Post, named after Colonel William Frederick "Buffalo Bill" Cody who helped found it in 1896.

The day before on Friday, June 4th, there is a packet pick-up party at Blackledge Park, near Whitetail Cycle Sport and the newly renovated Canteen District, downtown North Platte.

There’s lots to see and do North Platte which has an abundance of affordable hotels, campsites, rodeo’s, Buffalo Bill Cody’s Ranch and the Buffalo Bill State Historical Park and the world famous Golden Spike Tower where you can get a birds eye view of the World’s Largest Classification Rail Yard, the Union Pacific Bailey Yards.

The Buffalo Bill “Congress” (event organizers) will be putting together an event that will challenge and empower you.

Looking forward to showing you what gravel riding is like in these parts!
