Climate Ride, the non-profit organization that mobilizes people to protect our planet through life–changing adventures, has announced an expansion of its Green Fondo series. 100% of the donations fundraised for these events will go directly to the beneficiaries that participants select.
Climate change is already having a profound effect on people, communities, animals and habitats around the world. Sometimes, it might feel overwhelming - but it doesn’t have to be that way?
If you want to cycle and socialize with like-minded environmentally conscious people, then a Climate Ride fondo is for you. This is your chance to get involved and make a real difference!
The series kicks-off in Southern California, with Green Fondo SoCal on March 10-12, 2023 with just 150 places available.
With the weather in the 70s, this is a perfect time to enjoy spring training in SoCal. The weekend event takes place at Camp Whittier, Santa Barbara where cyclists can overnight, enjoy food and drink, live music, and meet new friends and thought leaders.
Take a weekend to pedal for the planet and be a part of creating a positive impact for the future. With Gran, Medio, & Piccolo route options each day, there's a sweet ride for seasoned to novice cyclists.
The series continues with Green Fondo Virginia April 28-30, 2023 in the Shenandoah Valley, VA from Front Royal with just 150 places available.
This is the perfect time to kick off your cycling summer. Ride through wine country in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah National Park, and the Shenandoah River Valley.
There will be a cycling village near Front Royal, Virginia at the 4-H Conference and Education Center.
Cyclists can overnight, enjoy food and drink, entertainment, and meet with new friends and thought leaders. The camp is right on the Appalachian Trail so non-cyclists can join the cause and be a part of all the action in camp.
There is a shuttle to/from DC for participants living in the area.
Join the cycling party that engages an energized community and benefits the sustainability revolution.
The series culminates with Green Fondo Norcal May 12-14, 2023 from Walker Creek Ranch, CA with only 200 places available.
This weekend event takes place at a cycling village near the San Francisco Bay Area where cyclists can overnight, enjoy food and drink, live music, and meet new friends and thought leaders.
There are lovely stops along the way where you can enjoy beautiful surroundings and new friends. From e-bikes to race bikes, all are welcome.
The Green Fondo in California in 2022 was Climate Ride’s highest-ever single fundraising event with participants raising over $1 million!

Algorand will Double Donations
The Algorand Foundation, the non-profit affiliated with the carbon-negative blockchain Algorand, who announced a five-year initiative to promote community-powered environmental health and sustainability. The Algorand Foundation is committing matching funds raised by Climate Ride participants.

The Gran Fondo styled events have something for everyone and provides an atmosphere where family, friends, and colleagues can all enjoy a cycling event together. Green Fondo is not timed because Climate Ride want you to enjoy the bike ride the way you want to ride!
