There was 9am mass start for the Geronimo 37mile ride with an epic turnout this year at Stafford Lake Park in Novato which was a sea of sponsors and local businesses support Marin Cyclists 62nd annual Century.

Participants also choose from four other diverse routes, tailored to suit different skill levels: the 62 mile Metric Century, a challenging 100-mile Century with 6,200 feet of climbing, the gruelling Double Metric with 11,000 feet of elevation gain, the scenic Mt. Tam route (93 miles with 9,000 feet of climbing.

The Marin Century is not just about the ride; it's about the community. After completing their routes, participants indulged in a complimentary 15-minute sports massage and savoured small-batch gelato or dairy-free sorbet from Fiorello's back at the start in Stafford Lake Park.

Course support wass extensive, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. This included SAG vehicles operated by Marin Amateur Radio Operators, mechanical assistance, police presence at busy intersections, and medical personnel stationed at rest stops.

Riders will also enjoy live music at select rest stops, fully stocked with refreshing beverages, local snacks, and delicious treats including Waffles and Bacon!

The day concluded with a BBQ feast featuring gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options, along with a complimentary craft beer from Pond Farm Brewing. Live music from the Marinfidels added to the celebratory atmosphere at the Finish Expo and party!

Registration included a commemorative water bottle and free professional photos to commemorate the ride! The professional photos are now available for all participants.

Since its inception in 1963, the Marin Century has been a staple of the cycling community, with the Marin Cycling Club donating over $585,000 back to local communities.

VIDEO: 2025 Marin Century from Home

Here’s a video from one of our members who rides up to the start of the Marin Century, (50 miles), rides the century, (100 miles), then rides back home, 200 miles for the day. This will give you a taste of how beautiful the riding is here in Marin County!

Here’s What Participants Had to Say

@chaos888 Ali’s first century. My first time back to the Marin Century since they started doing the new route. I liked it! It was a great day out on the bike.

@joshdwing My own little Queen Stage : Marin Mt Tam Century

@djboyofsummer What a fun day yesterday with @marincyclists on the Metric Century course & behind the bandstand at beautiful Stafford Lake Park! I did a blazing 17.5 mph avg. in West Marin, then @themarinfidels scorched the stage with an amazing selection of Beatles & Stones tunes. I got lots of nice feedback & was able to spin many different genres of music before, between & after the live music. I look forward to doing it again next year.

@tlhmtb We had so much fun helping out the @marincyclists with the aid station in West Marin yesterday! Kudos to all the riders  who grabbed bottles of @osmonutrition , @eatjambar , @guenergylabs and other snacks before heading back out to CRUSH their goals!

@joelsbigadventure Wonderful @marinbike Marin Century, Geronimo route with my old friend @richrossiphotos today. Since he moved to Sonoma a few years back, our rides have been fewer and farther between. SO nice to be able to meet in the middle! We had waffles and bacon(!) at the stop in the middle of the ride. Note that the “soft focus” effect in the latter videos and pictures is from a fine mist of bacon grease on my camera lens. Oops!

@808krp Marin Century 2025, it's almost been a year of cycling and I love it!

@sevacycling Mt. Tam route. 92 miles and 8,379 feet of climbing. It was easily one of the most beautiful and brutal training rides so far. It was a great day riding with my friend Gurpal along the entire route.

@amir.cackovic Great ride at the Marin Century—6 new PRs on Garmin segments! The first 60 miles were fun with cool temps and stunning coastal views. Then came the mountain climbs, not as fun, especially a brutal 1-mile climb averaging 9% grade… after already riding 91 miles. Finished with 15.6 mph average.

@travel_cycle415 It was all smiles after completing my first Century bike ride (100 miles/160 KM). 102 miles total & 7,549 elevation gain. I think the route organizer wanted to torture us, with a steep hill of 1000 ft elevation gain at mile 90! Aside from that I survived, with leg cramps and all!

@dolamlawfirm We had a blast at #MarinCentury2025! We handed out free bike swag like tire patch kits, reflective straps, phone holders, drawstring bags and our brand-new Bicycle Crash Safety Card. Huge thanks to @marincyclists for having us again and to the entire bicycle community we’re proud to support year after year. As bicycle accident lawyers, we’re committed to protecting riders on the road and in the courtroom. Where should we host a rest stop or booth next?

@dolamlawfirm We had a blast at #MarinCentury2025!
