Recognized by Outside Magazine as One of the Top 25 Rides in the World, the 63rd Marin Century takes place Saturday, August 1, 2026 with the Expo hosting at Stafford Lake Park, Novato in California.
The Marin Century is organized, managed and run entirely by volunteers. In its 63 year history, over 50,000 bike riders have enjoyed the scenery, camaraderie, food and challenge of the Marin Century.
Proceeds from America’s Premier Century Bike Ride are donated to non-profits, over $635,000 USD contributed to date! Last year, over 2,200 cyclists took part in the SOLD-OUT 62nd edition.
The Marin Century has been staged every year since 1963, which means that the Marin Cyclists Club has over 60 years of first-hand experience in hosting an unforgettable, fun and safe event.

Five Amazing Routes
For all abilities of road cyclist! There’s a route for you:
- Century (100.5 miles / 6,606 feet) - Our most popular route. Beautiful country.
- Metric Century (64 miles / 4,310 feet) - A great loop through idyllic West Marin.
- Geronimo (37 miles / 2,269 feet) - Short but sweet through the redwoods.
- Mt. Tam (92 miles / 8,932 feet) - Over the mountain and through the woods.
- Double Metric (127 miles / 11,079 feet) - The ultimate challenge. Do it if you can.

The Marin Century is not just about the ride; it's about the community. After completing your route, you can indulge in a complimentary 15-minute sports massage and savoured small-batch gelato or dairy-free sorbet from Fiorello's at the Expo in Stafford Lake Park.
Course support is extensive, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. This includes SAG vehicles operated by Marin Amateur Radio Operators, mechanical assistance, police presence at busy intersections, and medical personnel stationed at rest stops.
Riders will also enjoy live music at select rest stops, fully stocked with refreshing beverages, local snacks, and delicious treats including Waffles and Bacon!
The day concludes with a BBQ feast featuring gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options, along with a complimentary craft beer. Live music will add to the celebratory atmosphere at the Finish Expo and party!

Camping
There is NO camping allowed at Stafford Lake Park. Below are the closest campgrounds
1 - Samuel P Taylor State Park, allows tents, small RV’s and small trailers. Coin Hot showers on site. No hookups. Cabins also available. Located 23 minutes/15 miles away by car.
2 - Olema Campground, allows tents and RV’s, many with hook ups. Full bathrooms with hot showers on site. Located 25 minutes/16 miles away by car.
3 - Petaluma KOA has deluxe sites for large RV’s and also tents and cabins with many amenities. Located 26 minutes/19 miles away by car.
4- Novato RV Park, for RV’s only with full hookups. Located 12 minutes/5.9 miles away by vehicle.
