A prime early fall weekend strategically chosen for cooler temperatures, perfect for endurance riding! Come explore the best of British Columbia.
Whether you're aiming for a personal best or simply want to experience the majesty of the Canadian Rockies from the saddle, this event is crafted to provide a world-class cycling environment supported by local communities and passionate volunteers.
A featured event during Revelstoke Bikefest week, offering a challenging and unforgettable experience through stunning and rugged landscapes.
Taking place in late September, the Revelstoke Gran Fondo coincides with the spectacular transition of seasons. Ride through crisp mountain air as the alpine valleys transform into brilliant shades of gold and amber, perfectly contrasting against the deep turquoise waters of the region's glacier-fed lakes.
Just a ribbon of perfect tarmac tracing a glacier river, surrounded by ancient forests and peaks that make you stop and catch your breath. It’s the kind of place where you forget about the numbers on your bike computer and just lose yourself in the rhythm of the ride.
Two Epic Routes
Choose your challenge between the 100km Medio Fondo or the legendary 160km Gran Fondo. Both routes offer meticulously planned courses that prioritize safety, sweeping descents, and manageable but rewarding climbs.
Opening up the legendary road from Revelstoke out toward the Mica Dam for a Gran Fondo. No vertical mountain walls here…just endless, fast, buttery rollers that will let you absolutely fly, surrounded by nothing but wilderness.
From the moment you roll out of downtown Revelstoke, you'll navigate monumental infrastructure that defines the region. Cross sweeping bridges suspended over powerful turquoise rivers, carving your path through deep forests and dramatic mountain corridors that promise to test your legs and reward your spirit

Gran Fondo - 160km (100 mile)
The ultimate endurance test. Features relentless mountain passes and long, winding highway segments reserved for the most dedicated athletes seeking a legendary achievement.
Our 160km premier route features rolling terrain, breathtaking mountain vistas, and challenging elevation gains. You'll ride out to the Downie Creek Recreation Site before turning back to conquer the active timing zone on Highway 23. Study the profile, pace yourself, and get ready for an unforgettable ride.
The event begins with a strictly controlled, neutral roll-out through town at 25 km/h. Active timing begins once you cross the Revelstoke Dam. The return leg into town is also untimed to ensure safety through intersections.
Medio Fondo - 100km (60 mile)
A robust challenge for intermediate cyclists. Enjoy a mix of rolling hills and significant climbs alongside the mighty Columbia River, with fully supported aid stations.
The Medio Fondo offers the perfect balance of distance and stunning scenery. Covering 100km, this out-and-back route follows the same beautiful path along Highway 23, turning around at the Carnes Creek North Recreation Site. It's an ideal choice for riders looking for a significant challenge without the extreme distance of the full Gran route. It contains around 4,409 feet (1,343 m) of climbing.
E-bikes (Class 1 & 2) are permitted but will be placed in a separate, non-competitive category and are not eligible for podium awards.
There will be roving mechanical support vehicles and basic tools at aid stations. However, all riders are expected to be self-sufficient and carry their own spare tubes, pump, and basic repair kit.
First aid is available at all official aid stations, and we have dedicated roving medical teams on the course.
