2026 Gravel Worlds Results: Geerike Schreurs and Torbjorn Roed Crowned World Champions
Lauf Gravel Worlds delivered one of its most dramatic editions yet, with Torbjørn Andre Røed becoming the first Norwegian men’s 150-mile World Champion, storming to victory in 6:05:22 and Geerike Schreurs claimed the world title in 7:19:36, edging out defending champion Rosa Klöser.
Torbjørn Andre Røed's ride obliterated the previous course record of 6:48:46, set in 2024 by fellow Norwegian Simen Nordahl Svendsen, who finished ninth this year. Røed was pushed to the line by Keegan Swenson, just one second behind, while Julien Gagné completed the men’s podium in third.
The elite women’s 150-mile race produced an equally fierce showdown. In a finish separated by milliseconds, Geerike Schreurs claimed the world title in 7:19:36, edging out defending champion Rosa Klöser, who matched her time but lost the sprint. Charlotte Clarke secured third place after a strong late surge on the final sector.
The ultra-endurance 300-mile categories crowned two standout champions. Edward King dominated the men’s field with a winning time of 16:53:47, followed by Roston Nordell and Otaner Leiva Ojeda in second and third. In the women’s 300-mile race, Machelle Buchel took the title in 18:22:50, ahead of Emma Grant and Sarah Diekmeyer, who completed the podium after nearly twenty hours of racing.
In the 150-mile age-group men’s race, Reid Burrows claimed victory in 6:25:07, with Aitor Azkarraga and Daniel Nelson rounding out the top three. The women’s 150-mile podium mirrored the elite battle for consistency, with Ellory Clason taking the win in 7:12:39, followed by Lily Halvorson and Maia Paris.
The 75-mile men’s race saw Jake Magee take the top step in 3:24:43, just three seconds ahead of Ben Warders, with Chris Lee finishing third. In the women’s 75-mile field, Peta Mullens dominated with a winning time of 3:25:06, followed by Laura Henderson and Maia Paris.
The 35-mile men’s race was won by Christian Iten in 1:42:05, ahead of Kyle Dow and Jared McLaren. The women’s 35-mile podium featured Tina Hart as champion in 1:43:37, with Lhotse Johnson and Caroline Theil completing the top three.
Across all distances, Gravel Worlds 2026 delivered record-breaking performances, razor-thin margins, and standout rides from both elite and amateur athletes — cementing its reputation as one of the toughest and most competitive gravel events on the planet.
